Visitaremos el santuario de la naturaleza "Capillas de Mármol" que corresponde a un Monumento Nacional de Chile , formado por un conjunto de minerales de carbonato de calcio ubicados a orillas del lago General Carrera. 

Among  the years, the waters of the lake (second largest in South America), coastal escarpments have eroded, creating the formations known as Cathedrals, Chapels and Marble Caverns. Our tour will be with an external company. They will take us through the most iconic places in this sanctuary, where we will be able to appreciate the best postcards and take beautiful photographs. 

The guides will tell us more about the geology and history of the place. The ride will last approximately 1 hour.

At the end of the navigation, our hotel guide will be waiting for us to head towards Bahía Exploradores. We will continue our route approximately 21 km. more until we find the imposing “Cascada de la Nutria” (Otter Waterfall), which will be our next stop. We will go down to contemplate this unique waterfall. It is here where we mark a change in the vegetation, and we begin to go into the Pacific Ocean and will find a totally wooded landscape. After this magnificent stop, continuing in the vehicle, we will skirt the Exploradores River where we will find several hanging glaciers belonging to the mass of the northern ice fields, which are part of the Laguna San Rafael National Reserve. 

Now reaching kilometer 40, we will start a 20-minute trekking until we reach the explorer glacier viewpoint. From here we will see the north face of Mount San Valentin, the most distant mountain in Chilean Patagonia (4,058 Mts.). On our other side we will have Lake Bayo. We will finish with one of the best views of the northern ice fields, the third largest area of ice in the world, with 4,200 Mts2.
